Can I delete XIP File?

 Hi all!

I recently switched to the new Macbook after years of using the Microsoft Surface for my C++ projects, so please forgive me if I'm asking a low question. I recently installed Xcode, and along with it came a .xip file as part of the installation. What I am asking is if it is okay to delete the .xip file as Xcode itself has been installed, or if it should be kept as it holds the basic foundation for Xcode (after all it is 12.5 GB).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no need to keep it.

Unless you have another Mac you want to install it on or if you need to reinstall it. Put it on an external if you do.
