7 Massive Travel Trailer Floor Plans with 3-4 Slide Outs

With so many travel trailers on the market, knowing your travel priorities is key when deciding which models are right for you. Small, economy travel trailers are fine for solo or duo travelers off on a weekend jaunt, but when your travel includes several people, an entire family, or an extended vacation, a thirteen-foot bare necessities travel trailer may not cut it.

Once you’ve decided you need a lot of space, it may be helpful to understand the benefits of a travel trailer over a larger Class A motorhome. The first positive in choosing a roomy travel trailer is the price tag.

Travel trailers are often much less expensive than Class A motorhomes because you don’t have to pay for the motor. Another advantage is the ability to unhitch your tow vehicle and explore areas where a large Class A motorhome just won’t fit.

Having a Class A motorhome is also like having another vehicle. That means there are more maintenance costs than a travel trailer which doesn’t have an engine and other parts that a Class A motorhome does.

Although a Class A motorhome may have room to sleep many people, that doesn’t mean that it can safely transport those people. It can be difficult to find a Class A vehicle with enough seatbelts or places to attach car seats for children, but those features are easy to find in a tow vehicle because it’s primarily designed to transport people.

There is also a larger selection of travel trailers than Class A vehicles, so there are more options to fit your specific needs. If you’re shopping for a large amount of space, or you just want to fantasize about your dream vacation, we’ve listed seven massive travel trailer floor plans that each include between 3-4 slide outs.

These floor plans have plenty of room for your friends, family, and pets to relax and enjoy themselves no matter where you plan to park.

1. Jayco Eagle 338RETS

Jayco travel trailers are some of the most popular on the market. Jayco is a great brand with a reputation for quality. For the sheer amount of room, we love the Eagle line of travel trailers, billed as a line of luxury travel trailers with large master bedrooms and spacious living areas. If you want the feeling of comfort you’d find in a residence, this is a great line to explore.

Jayco’s Eagle line has four floor plans to choose from, but our favorite is the 338RETS because of the addition of the tri-fold sofa. This model comes with two interior decor packages and some great options including a second power awning, a rolling island pantry, and an upgrade to either a 13 or a 21 cubic foot residential refrigerator.

This floor plan features a private master bedroom slide out with a standard queen-sized bed (which can be upgraded to a king), a large wardrobe, a dresser (with a TV option), overhead storage, and a washer/dryer prep area. The large bathroom features a walk-in shower with skylight and glass door, ample counter and storage space, and a corner toilet.

The large kitchen includes a dual sink in the large counter and lots of overhead storage. The second slide in this model contains the standard 8 cubic foot refrigerator that can be easily upgraded, a walk-in pantry, microwave, oven, and three-burner stove. One the rear side of the pantry is the tri-fold sofa with overhead storage that easily pulls out into additional sleeping space.

This model features a rear entertainment center with cabinet storage and a fireplace that can be easily accessed and viewed from every part of the generous living space.

The final slide out, opposite the kitchen and sofa, contains a carpeted area with two swiveling leather recliners and the dinette. On this slide, you can also opt for an additional 10-foot awning to keep the windows nice and shaded.

Having the rear entertainment unit sets this model apart from the other Eagle floorplans and having the sofa opposite the chairs and dinette facilitates easy conversation, game night action, or a group movie experience.

2. Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS

Another great option with lots of space is the Grand Design Reflection travel trailer. This line advertises luxury, value, and towability all wrapped up in one roomy package.

With their Arctic 4-Seasons Protection package, this line of travel trailers is tested in temperatures ranging from zero degrees to over 100, to ensure that no matter the weather, you and your family will be comfortable.

Grand Design also builds their travel trailers with fully laminated walls, including the slide endwalls and roof, layered with rigid foam insulation and double insulated floors, roof, and front cap to be sturdy and reliable to prevent drafts and leaks. They also offer a three-year limited structural warranty so that you can feel confident in your travel trailer’s performance.

The Reflection line has five-floor plans, including one with a bunkhouse, and our top pick for a roomy floor plan is the three-slide 315RLTS model.

The first slide is in the master bedroom, accommodating the queen-sized bed which can be upgraded to a king. The king-sized wardrobe is at the front of the trailer and the master bedroom also contains oversized under bed storage beneath its pillowtop mattress.

The bathroom has a generous 30 x 36 shower with skylight and glass door and is located directly across from the exterior door for quick and easy access.

The second slide is in the kitchen and living area where you’ll find gorgeous hardwood refrigerator fronts, drawer fronts, trim moldings, and slide end caps. Just past the pantry on this slide is the entertainment center with a 40-inch TV and fireplace.

The rear wall holds additional cabinet storage and a tri-fold sofa that extends into a sleeping space across the premium Congoleum flooring. The final slide holds a carpeted area with luxury theater seating and the dinette which can be swapped out for a free-standing table and chairs.

What we like best about this model is the racetrack ducting that gives great airflow and the motion sensor LED lighting that makes it easy to navigate the interior any time of day or night.

3. Palomino Puma 31RLQS

Palomino’s Puma line includes travel trailers and fifth wheels that are easy to tow and have ample interior room. In their travel trailer line, the Palomino Puma offers 19 different floor plans, nine of which offer bunkhouses.

While we like several of these floorplans for the way they efficiently separate sleeping areas, if your primary concern is a roomy, open floorplan, you might consider the 31RLQS model.

In many ways, this model is similar to the Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS in its general layout. The master bedroom features the first slide to make room for a queen-sized bed, closet, dresser, and optional washer/dryer that can be additional closet space with hanging storage.

However, the shower in the bathroom is larger at 30 x 48 and includes a shower seat behind its glass doors. The bathroom also features a linen closet for additional storage.

The remaining two slides oppose one another in the living area. One slide holds the kitchen appliances including a three-burner high output range with a glass cover and decorative kitchen backsplash, lots of cabinet space in the 14-inch deep overhead cabinets, and sliding drawers with sturdy ball bearing drawer guides that include a divided silverware drawer. This same slide also contains the entertainment center with optional fireplace.

The opposing slide holds dual push-back recliners, upgraded carpeting, and the dinette with radius seat bases for extra comfort.

The rear wall holds the sofa with overhead storage and end tables. These areas also have large windows to let in the light while still being tinted for privacy.

The real scene-stealer in this interior is the pendant lighting over the center kitchen island. The island features a stainless steel sink with a nickel finish on the high-rise faucet and roll-up metal sink covers.

The sink and counter on the island is illuminated by two pendant lights which makes meal prep even easier, and the attractive hardware adds a nice focal point as well.

4. Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 2707WS

It’s no secret we like room to stretch out, and the best way to do that is with slides. Forest River’s Ultra-Lite line offers 13 floorplans that incorporate slides in a variety of ways to help maximize the space however you need it.

The 2707WS floorplan uses the master bedroom slide to accommodate significant wardrobe and closet space while the queen-sized bed itself fits easily inside against the front wall of the trailer. We like that the master bedroom also has a carpeted option.

The master bedroom slide also extends across the bathroom wall to incorporate a linen closet into that space while still leaving plenty of floor room between the toilet and corner shower. The Rockwood Ultra Lite also has the handy Shower Miser water saver system, radius glass door shower, and a bathroom skylight.

The other two slides opposing one another in the living area contain on one side, next to a large stationary pantry/storage space, a 67-inch sofa (or optional theater seats) next to the refrigerator and a second pantry.

These face the dinette (or optional free-standing table and chairs) and entertainment center with fireplace that includes a storage area behind the TV.

And while we love a kitchen island for its functionality, having the galley in this unit on the back wall and eliminating the center island makes for an open floor space that is ideal for large groups and big families. This kitchen space has nice storage and counter space as well as a two-bowl kitchen sink and three-burner stove.

Some of the features that set this model apart are the engineered mold and mildew resistant floor covering, options for heated theater seating with USB ports, cup holders, and removable tables, and the fun outdoor kitchen with swing-out burners, mini-fridge, and storage space.

All these options are found encased in the 6-sided aluminum cage construction and vacuum laminated 1-piece roof and walls.

5. Keystone Sprinter Limited 330KBS

Part of looking for a roomy floor plan is having the feeling of being at home, and not cramped in a mobile residence. The Keystone Sprinter Limited has four-floor plans, all of which have three slide outs.

Our favorite of the group is the 330KBS travel trailer because it gives the feeling of being at home no matter where you are with some truly unique features.

The first noticeable difference is the two separate entrances. One entry door leads into the main living area while the second (at the rear) leads directly into the master bedroom. The master bedroom holds a large wardrobe, floor-to-ceiling closet, and stackable washer/dryer prep area.

The slide out extends to make room for the 70 x 80 king-sized bed with overhead storage and dual nightstands. The opposing wall also holds a generously sized dresser and has TV hookups as well.

From the master suite, you can access the large bathroom with a radius shower, linen cabinet above the toilet, and a large counter area with his and hers sinks.

The other bathroom door opens directly into the living space where you’ll find a large double-door pantry and prep area. One slide holds the glass top range, two 7 cubic foot refrigerators, and the entertainment center with a 50-inch TV and fireplace.

The opposing slide holds only the fully reclining theater seating because the dining table is located in the center island. We’ve mentioned how much we like the functionality of a center island, and this one is probably the most useful one we’ve seen. The island holds an extra large sink and faucet with a cutting board as well as the dining table with room for chairs.

The front wall of this Sprinter Limited model holds the tri-fold sofa that opens into a queen-sized bed. Another great feature is that the wall beside the exterior doors holds a mounted coat rack which is convenient for a lot more than just hanging coats.

6. Highland Ridge Open Range Roamer OT310BHS

The previous models we’ve looked at all have three slides, but if you like the idea of the bunkhouse style, Highland Ridge RV makes the Open Range line of travel trailers with four different floor plans, two of which include the bunkhouse style layout and a total of four slides.

Of these two floor plans, we like the OT310BHS because it gives the most room in the living area to make this travel trailer feel truly massive.

In this model, the master bedroom is at the front of the trailer and its slide-out gives room for a large wardrobe with hanging closet space. The bedroom also features under bed storage and a separate entrance into the bathroom. The bathroom has a corner shower with sliding glass doors and a main entrance into the living space.

The main living area is on a slide that is highly customizable. This slide can feature either a dinette and theater seating or an enormous u-shaped lounge with removable table. Depending on the layout you like best, this can feel like a massive theater experience and is great for entertaining.

The large crescent island holds the wide stainless steel sink and the opposing slide holds the 8 cubic foot refrigerator, stove, microwave, and oven as well as counter and storage space. The refrigerator can be upgraded to an 18 cubic foot model with an ice maker that is really helpful if you do entertain a lot.

Another helpful feature is that this model is pet-friendly since there is no carpeting in the living and kitchen areas and there are no registers in the floor either. The entertainment unit in the living area can accommodate a 32-inch TV and includes an option for a wall-mount fireplace as well.

The rear of this Open Range model is the bunkhouse where one slide holds two bunks and the opposite wall holds another two. The bottom bunk on the slide can also be used as an additional dinette and the built-in shelves between the bunks include TV hookups and netting to help you store clothes, toys, or anything else you want to bring along.

7. Coachmen Freedom Express Ultra Lite 320BHDS

Our last massive, ultra-roomy travel trailer is from Coachman’s Freedom Express Ultra Lite Line. This is another bunkhouse model with three slides and its floor plan is open and roomy. The master bedroom holds a queen-sized bed but has no slides because the wardrobes are located on either side of the head of the bed at the front of the trailer.

The bathroom in this model holds a standard corner shower with a sink and foot-flush toilet and is just off the main living area where the first two slides make room for the sofa and dinette. \

The sofa is directly across from the entertainment center and behind the entertainment center in the main entry into the trailer is a large storage closet with a shoe box to keep messy shoes organized and out of the way.

The second slide is just across from the dinette and holds the refrigerator, three-burner range, oven, and microwave. The center kitchen island expands the counter space and holds the large sink. The island also has additional storage to complement the large pantry.

The rear of the trailer holds the bunkhouse and the third slide. This slide features a futon with a flip-up bunk and the opposite wall holds large double 42 x 74 bunks. The rear wall also holds two wardrobes, one with TV hookups.

Other great features of the Freedom Express Ultra Light include the Stable-Ryd Suspension which includes wide track axles for better weight distribution and a more secure on-road stance. The front profile is built to be aerodynamic and the enclosed underbelly reduces drag. The wide tinted safety glass windows in the main living space let the outdoors in which adds to the spacious interior feeling.
