I am going to let you guys a little into my private life. How did I become a free content creator teacher? I first found out people are making money on the internet when I was 18. By then I was living in the economic capital city of the southwest region of Cameroon known as the city of Kumba.

My Career Story | How I Decided to Become a Content Creator

Kumba city is filled with traders especially from Nigeria known as the Ibo people. Small scale farmers growing crops such as maize (corn), beans, Cassava, plantains, groundnut. Rearing animals like goats, pigs (Schwinn), chicken (fowl) mainly for domestic use. Cash crop farmers are largely involved in cocoa and coffee.

In Kumba city, there are also government-employed citizens known as civil servants. Civil servants in Kumba city include teachers, police officers, accountants working in government-owned banks, gendarmes, army and general government officers working in Cameroon government-owned offices. In Kumba city, there are also a lot of private schools, banks, business places employing teachers, accountants, service boys and girls, and even security.

There in the city of Kumba, my friends use to come to me and tell me they are making money on the internet. As a teenager, I was immediately attracted to the fact that people can make money on the internet. So I curiously ask how? and they introduced me to scam. Scamming is all about selling fake products and services on the internet.

Growing up as a Christian at that time, I knew to scam was a sin to God. But the idea that people do make money on the internet didn't leave my head for a second. One day I went on the internet and type on google legitimate ways to make money on the internet. And I was introduced to freelance jobs on the internet.

The first freelance site I was attracted to was freelancer.com. Since I found out I could do simple jobs such as data entry, article writing.

My search to make money on the internet didn't end there. I later found out about affiliate marketing. So I joined click bank but I was stocked since I didn't know how to promote my affiliate links.

The determination was there so I searched even further then I found out people are making money on the internet through blogs, social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and even youtube. So I went ahead and created me a free blogger platform on blogger.com and I became very active on facebook and twitter since I was trying to make money.

I even try to create a couple of youtube videos. But I sucked. It was either I stayed there all day not knowing what to say in front of the camera or my videos were so poorly structured and even boring that I felt it myself.

At first writing blog posts for my blog was very difficult. I could write just 200 words blog post at my best. And at the time I started blogging people were advised to write at least a 450 words blog post article.
