Broadcast News (1987)

It's been a couple of decades since I've seen this. My wife and I watched it yesterday as part of a 1987 double feature with Moonstruck (weather was bad, so we were stuck inside). This holds up so well. It treats the characters with such maturity, about their inability to fully connect with each other (for good reasons). Holly Hunter's wince when Albert Brooks reveals his love for her is a favorite bit of acting. This speech hasn't lost is relevance at all.3 great performances with Hurt, Hunter and Brooks, and so fabulously well written. Really glad I saw this again.Curious to see if there's any love for this film, or anything subtle that you like about it that might be missed by a casual viewer. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/IB5aJDY
