Is The Many Saints of Newark a good movie for someone who hasn’t watched The Sopranos?

I’ve watched a couple episodes of The Sopranos years ago, but it’s too long ago that I’ve probably forgot about it.I think I’ve heard some negative stuff about this prequel movie by fans, but given that I haven’t really seen the series could I still enjoy the movie?.I watch all kinds of movies, but I do like gangster movies like Goodfellas, The Departed, American Gangster etc. via /r/movies https://ift.tt/hJUXB98
