Genetics, there are certain traits that are going to be passed along from one generation to the next. It could be your chubby cheeks or any number of things such as a dominant color for the eyes, and the list goes on. There are studies as to how and why this happens. Our DNA for example has been proven to carry these markers from person to person and are passed along throughout our lives to our descendants. As a personal example I have two sons the oldest, fifty-three, lived with his mother for twenty years after a crappy divorce, at the time he was six. My younger son was raised by his mother and I and is now thirty-nine. And if you were to see their pictures and mine, as well as my youngest son's oldest boy ( at different ages growing up) you would not believe the resemblance, even our voices are identical and when speaking over the phone more than once people have had to ask to whom they were speaking. Now that is genetics. Not very technical I know but I did not want to take up a lot of other peoples time who could give you a better insight into the intricacies of how these traits ‘migrate' throughout ones family tree.
If you have a chubby face and you are in fact skinny, then you are probably just skinny and do not have a lot of muscle on you. Start working out and gain some muscle. Your face will lean out as will the rest of your body when you start cleaning that fat you have on you.
