7 Best Dirt Bike Backpacks On The Market

7 Best Dirt Bike Backpacks On The Market

It can be difficult to find just the right backpack to carry with you on a dirt bike. A search for “backpacks for dirt bikes” brings up a lot of options for hydration packs, but not much else. And while water is probably the most essential thing to take with you on a trail, it’s not the only thing you might need. Toolkits, food, first aid kits – these things add a lot of extra weight and bulk that don’t always fit in a hydration pack that’s designed to hold only water and a few small items.

Osprey Packs Daylite Plus Daypack

This pack is a day pack that was made with quality in mind. These bags are tough and they feel great. If you are looking for something that can endure the rough riding as well as look and feel great, this is a great option.

Osprey is known for making comfortable, high-quality packs, and this daypack is no exception. It only weighs a pound unfilled, yet has a 20-liter capacity plus a built-in sleeve for a 3-liter hydration reservoir. Technically, the sleeve is designed to either insulate a hydration reservoir or protect a tablet, but let’s face it, you’re not going to need a tablet when you’re out riding trails. If, however, you would rather use a water bottle, there are multiple mesh side pockets that are the perfect size.

The Daylite Plus Daypack also has several larger, zippered pockets and a front panel pocket. The mesh-covered, foam back panel gives the pack support and helps with ventilation.

If you are looking for the pack that will be your favorite backpack you have ever owned, look no further than an Osprey.

TETON Sports Oasis 1100 Hydration Pack

At under $40, this is a great backpack for the price and just as good as a lot of more expensive ones. It weighs 2 pounds unfilled and has an 18-liter capacity, and as an added bonus, it comes with a 2-liter hydration bladder. The adjustable compression straps are designed to give you the best fit and keep the pack as small and low-profile as possible.

This backpack is very standard, and comes at a great price. IF you are looking for something that is a no-bull type of product, then this is for you.

Osprey Packs Escapist 25 Daypack

The Escapist 25 Daypack is more expensive than the previous Osprey pack, but if you need something with extra storage space, this one has both space and some special features that make the price entirely worth it. At 23-liters, this daypack has one of the larger capacities of the backpacks on this list, but it still weighs only 2 pounds unfilled. The harness and hip belt are designed to balance all of that weight evenly, and the zippered divider helps keep everything organized. There is also an external hydration sleeve if you want to attach a hydration reservoir.

This daypack also has a couple of features that are specifically designed for people who want to go backpacking overnight, so if that’s something you’re interested in, you’ll want to check out the sleeping bag compartment and integrated rain cover.

I feel like most backpacks designed for dirt biking are very sleek and slim so that they don’t get in the way, but there is a definite need for the occasional overnight trip, which requires a little bit more storage capacity. If you are the type of rider that needs some extra space for food and survival necessities, then this is the bag for you.

Live Infinitely 10-L Hydration Backpack

This is actually a hydration pack, but if you aren’t planning on needing as much storage space and want a more low-profile pack, this is a great option. It has a 10-liter capacity and a 2-liter water bladder, perfect for shorter rides. It has a netted storage pocket on both sides and two larger compartments, as well as a couple of smaller pockets for valuables and two designed specifically for water bottles.

I feel like a lot of back packs for dirt biking are pretty expensive, but this bag is only 30 dollars for the bag and the bladder. That is a pretty good deal. This backpack is one of the best bang for your buck bags that I have seen.

Deuter Trans Alpine 30

This backpack has so many great reviews. People LOVE this bag.

It is larger than your standard water carrier, and people say that it is best for mountain/dirt biking. People that have owned many different bags in their time are saying that this is the bag that they grab when they head out for a day of riding.

Deuter Race X Backpack

This is another great backpack from Deuter. Although a little cheaper and smaller, it still packs a punch in terms of storage space. If you are looking for something a little larger than a classic water holder, this is the pack for you.

These packs are great, and if you need any more convincing, find them on amazon and checkout the reviews for everything they make.

Venture Pal Lightweight Packable Durable Travel Hiking Backpack Daypack

This pack is cheap and tough, but its main feature will surprise you.

The backpack can be packed into itself, and turn into something that you can fit in your pocket! This type of bag is especially nice if you are going somewhere that you MIGHT need a bag, but are not sure yet. Having a backpack that is empty lying around can be annoying, but if you have the option of packing it away into a small compartment then you can if you choose this backpack.

That being said, it is really inexpensive, so I wouldn’t rely too heavily on this backpack to carry anything too heavy. It might break on you. Always remember that you get what you pay for!
