A family-run vintage trailer resort and camper’s paradise recently opened in Texas. The Range is located about 30 minutes southeast of Dallas on 30 picturesque acres in Bristol.
This retro campground and resort offers restored Airstreams and vintage trailers to stay in like a hotel, along with sites for you to bring your own vintage model.
Outdoor hotel and resort
Owners Sarah and Paul Beauregard shared this statement in a recent press release:
“As Airstream owners ourselves, we wanted to build the space that we craved with a focus on nature, a ton of privacy, and the opportunity for community. If you live and love the Airstream and vintage trailer life, or just want to experience it for a few days, we offer an easy way to enjoy camping and the outdoors with family and friends.”
The owners boast that resort size, limited sites, and space between sites make The Range ideal for social distancing. Small families and couples will feel comfortable vacationing together with limited interaction with others.
Repurposed Airstreams and vintage trailers
Beginning this month, you can stay in one of 6 completely self-contained Airstreams or vintage trailers. You will have your own bathroom, kitchenette, A/C, wooden deck, propane fire pit, grill, and quality linens.
All sites are at least 100 feet apart for added privacy. All models are unique and renovated to the original time period but also have modern conveniences such as a Nespresso coffee maker.
Sarah and Paul believe in living a low-waste lifestyle and repurposing as much as possible. This is why you will see custom-made reclaimed wood outdoor tables and benches at each unique site. Their mission carries over into other details on the resort: a rusted Texas oil piping fence, reclaimed doors on most buildings, and vintage trailers that date back to 1953.
Plans are already in the works to add more vintage trailers for rent.
Bring your own Airstream or vintage trailer
Do you have your own Airstream or vintage trailer that is over 25 years old? If so, you are more than welcome to reserve one of 22 sites to enjoy the pleasure of camping with those who also enjoy the same retro vibe.
Every private and spacious site includes full hook-ups: electric (30 or 50 amp), water, and sewer. Sites are on concrete pads (15×35) that accommodate trailers up to 32 feet. Back-in and pull-thru options available.
Bring your furry friends to make your next vacation complete, as cats and dogs are welcome. Make sure to inquire if your vintage model qualifies for a visit.
