I watched Underwater last night, as horror/sci-fi is my absolute favorite blend. I was bracing for it to be so-so as the reviews were tepid, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well made and genuinely exciting the movie ended up being. Cool tech, unique setting, and great performances. Plus, no spoilers, but the movie has a secret connection to one of my favorite horror mythologies that, according to the director, is completely intentional.
