And oh my god!!!!! What a masterpiece. I don't know what took me so long to watch this movie. I watched the Redux edition which is 3 hrs 16 mins long. I was kinda scared of the duration because my attention span is that of a baby but trust me when i tell you this, I finished this movie in one go. There's not a second in 3hrs 16 mins that is dull. Everything about this movie is just perfect and beyond. The cinematography, the background score and most importantly, the casting. Robert Duvall owns every single second of his screentime like a boss and so does Dennis Hopper in his short role but the greater stars are obviously Martin Sheen and Marlon fucking Brando. Brando enters at 2 hrs 32 mark and just takes the movie to a whole new level. The scenes with Brando are pure magic esp the lightning effects on his close ups. It makes him look even more terrifying. The movie is too realistic, easily on the level of Saving Private Ryan and the Russian movie named Come and See. It easily goes into my top 5 now.
