Is it just me or is the CGI in this movie a little too good? It’s 12 years old and had a budget of $30 million USD according to Wikipedia, and I swear it looks better than current high budget films- as far as GGI special effects are concerned. The lighting and prawn skin textures look top notch. Usually I find CGI creature effects to look video gamey and unrealistic. Like too shiny or something, but not the prawns in District 9.
