Came across a podcast with Paul Thomas Anderson where he mentioned his admiration for the the 90’s comedy masterpiece “Heavyweights”.Only for the interviewer (who’s never seen the movie) bring up the fact that it’s not PC when PTA mentions it’s about a Kids Fat Camp.And it made me think how it’s an an outlier in terms of its tone. Before or Since I don’t think Disney has ever made a Comedy film quite like it.Probably having to due with Judd Apatow having produced it.But seriously, for those who’ve never seen it. Watch it ASAP, it’s on Disney Plus.And it has arguably the greatest role Ben Stiller has ever played.Having first seen it as a kid on the Disney channel, to seeing it now as an Adult.It’s still what I consider to be a Top Ten personal favorite Comedy of mine.
