Now while 1985's Day of the Dead may be my favorite zombie movie, Return of the Living Dead has to be a close second. Not only is it a fun horror movie, but it's also extremely influential for the zombie sub-genre. This movie introduces a lot of zombie trademarks like an appetite for brains and zombies who can talk. The zombies here are also harder to defeat as if you cut off a limb, it will movie on its own.I also love the idea of anything that is dead coming back to life whether that be butterflies or a dog. Plus, the makeup and costumes in this movie are top notch, especially the tar zombie.So yeah, if you haven't seen Return of the Living Dead, give it a watch.
