Are there people who never exercise but are still healthy?

 It has not been proven by any long term study that those who exercise regularly live longer. Elephants live for upwards of 70 years and if anyone says elephants exercise, they have not seen an elephant.

No one really knows if lifestyle really affects longevity, controversial though this statement maybe. There are records of people collapsing and dying on a marathon or in a gym… people with normal health, no diabetes, hypertension or obesity have died young and suddenly.

So the truth is we simply have no proof that anything we do in hopes of increasing lifespan actually does so. Depressing maybe but we’ll…c’est la vie.

Because you’ve been caught by the causation fallacy.

People think that because exercise can allow you to live longer that exercise causes long life.

Lots of things go into living a long life, exercise is just one.

If you exercise, you are likely to live longer, and you are likely to feel better, too. But it’s not guaranteed.
